97 - SURAH AL QADR

AL QADR
(The Measurement)

SUMMARY
#looking_at_oneself

Surah Al-Qadr delves into the profound reality of Lailatul Qadr, a night that symbolizes the measurement and evaluation of darkness—the absence of truth that hinders our guidance. This darkness is not merely a physical concept but represents the spiritual and mental barriers that obscure the light of divine wisdom. The process of this measurement begins with a deep, inward reflection, where one becomes acutely aware of the layers of darkness surrounding the self. This introspective journey initiates a transformative phase of spiritual intensity, where we engage in deep contemplation and reflection upon our own state of being.

It is during this deep awareness that Allah reveals the Quran, the ultimate embodiment of truth. The act of measuring and evaluating the layers of darkness that obscure the light is a divine process, one that transcends the usual patterns of ignorance and spiritual blindness. The Quran, revealed by the permission of your Rabb, descends with absolute authority, carrying the essence of truth that penetrates through the darkness.

As one engages in this sacred assessment, the Quran acts as a guide, illuminating the obstacles and barriers that create spiritual darkness. This revelation initiates a state of profound peace, beginning the moment we recognize and confront these barriers. As the awareness progresses, the piercing light of dawn emerges, symbolizing the arrival of knowledge and understanding of the truth. This dawn marks the metaphor for the beginning of a new spiritual awakening, where the darkness is dispelled, and the illuminating light of divine truth takes hold, guiding us towards a path of righteousness and clarity.

By the (divine and all comprehensive) name Allah (that carries an elevated hidden meaning to its name), the Rahmaan, the Raheem.   (The Rahmaan is the abstract education system of Allah that provide abundant knowledge of facts and the Raheem is the approval given to those who seek education through Ar Rahman).

97.1    Certainly, We anzalnaahu / have revealed it (Quran / the expression of the truth) in lailatil qadr / measured darkness (where the layers of barriers that block the light are accounted for).

97.2    And do you know what is lailatul qadr / the measured darkness ?

97.3    Lailatul qadr / measured darkness (where the layers of barriers that block the light are accounted for) is better from alfi shahrin / (what is) normally appear so.

97.4    The malaikah / state of authority and the ruh / Spirit revealed in it with the permission of their Rabb / Lord from every amri / command.

97.5    There is salamun / a peace until the emergence of the fajr / early light of guidance (that will pierce a passage for the truth).

98 - SURAH AL BAYYINAH

AL BAYYINAH
(The Clarity)

SUMMARY
#looking_at_oneself

Surah Al-Bayyinah emphasizes the profound significance of attaining clarity regarding the unseen, the hidden reality that lies beyond the manifest signs—ayaati—revealed by Allah. These signs are not the ultimate truth in themselves; rather, they serve as reflections, guiding the discerning mind towards the unseen reality that they represent. This clarity of the unseen is essential for one to truly comprehend and find security in Al-Kitab, the inherent script that holds the essence of divine wisdom.

For those among the Ahlil Kitab who reject the divine message and associate others with Allah, their rejection persists until the clarity of the established message, brought forth by a Rasul, becomes undeniable. The rejection is not merely a refusal of the message but a deeper state of spiritual stagnation, representing the worst of the bariyyah, absolution from incomplete establishment of the deen of Allah.

In contrast, those who embrace the message, who place their trust in Al-Kitab and engage in corrective deeds, will be rewarded with hidden gardens of knowledge—an inner sanctuary of divine understanding. They represent the best form of barriyah, absolution from a complete establishment of the deen of Allah. Allah is pleased with them, and they find contentment in Him. This state of mutual approval is granted to those who khoshiya, revere and deeply respect the Lordship of Allah, acknowledging His guiding presence in their lives.

98:1    Those who kafaru / rejected (the hidden message of Allah) from among ahlil kitab / those acquainted to the inherent script and the musyrikeen / those who associate lam yakuni / would not leave (their rejection) until the bayyinah / clarity (of the hidden knowledge) came to them.

98.2    A rasul / inner voice that deliver the message (of the hidden knowledge) from Allah reciting a purified shuhufan / discernment.

98.3    In them are kutubun / mentally scripted, qaimah / established.

98.4    And those who had received the Kitab / inherent script did not be divided illa / save from after what came to them, the clarity.

98.5    And they were not commanded except to serve Allah and be mukhlisin / one who is sincere to His deen / indebted obligations to consciously obey (Allah's systems, law and judgement), hunafa' / naturally inclined (towards the truth), and established (rooted, solidified and ingrained) salaah / connections (with hidden messages delivered by rasul / inner voice for download) and yu'tu / to pursue zakah / mental development.  And that is the established deen / indebted obligations to consciously obey (Allah's systems, law and judgement).

98.6    Certainly, those who kafaru / rejected (the hidden knowledge) from ahlil kitab / those acquainted with the inherent script and the musyrikin / one who associate (others with Allah) are in nari jahannama / the burning sensation of stagnation (of knowledge resulting in internal conflicts) abiding therein, those are the worst of the bariyyah / absolusion from establishing (the deen when status is not complete).

98.7    Certainly, those who aamanu / take security in Al Kitab / the inherent script and do solehah / corrective deeds, they are the best of the bariyyah / absolved from establishing (the deen when status is complete).

98.8    Their reward in the nearnest of their Rabb / Lord are jannatu / hidden gardens of knowledge beneath which the rivers of knowledge flow, abiding therein eternally.  Allah approved of them, and they approved of Him. That is for whoever khoshiya / revere (in receiving) Rabbahu / His Lordship.

60 - SURAH AL MUMTAHINA

SURAH AL MUMTAHINA
(The One Who Examine)

SUMMARY
#looking_at_oneself

Al Mumtahina surah discusses the intensive self-examination or imtahina, where a person evaluates his own voices are not overpowering the voice of the Nabi in the act of pronouncing and establishing the truth and lower than the rasul in the aspect of delivering the message from the Rabb / Lord.  Those who exhibit taqwa or mindfulness of Allah, are the ones who do not overpower over the Nabi and lower their voices before the rasul.  On the other hand, those who allow their established encircling thoughts to overpower the nabi and overtake the rasul are the ones whose hearts have been examined by Allah as those who have given up their aakhirah or ending just like the kuffaru or rejecters who buried their true selves.  These entrenched thoughts become dominant due to having resided in the memory for an extended period.

If a mukminaat, one who desires to overcome the overpowering encircling thoughts comes to you to make allegiance (submit) to the rasul, examine them to ensure and establish that the removal of the supression is secured on Al Kitab / the inherent script, the truth from the Rabb / Lord.   If we determine that their iman or faith is rooted in Al Kitab, we cannot permit them to revert to the rejecters.

This act involves examining and identifying the domination of encircling thoughts that has settled in our an-nas / the (our) agitated mind.   Domination of encircling thoughts refers to negative thoughts or inner negative urges that plague our mind and cause them to act in ways that are harmful to ourselves and others.  These thoughts may include feelings of anger, envy, insecurity or other negative emotions that can become all-consuming and hinder a person's ability to think and act rationally.  The term domination suggests that these thoughts have crossed a boundary or limit, and are encircling or surrounding the person's mind, influencing their behaviour and decisions dominantly with command and authority.  Allah asked us, "How can we secretly love them ?"  Allah also said that He is fully aware of what we conceal and what we declare.  On the moment of Judgment (accountability), Allah, who sees everything you do, will reveal the truth about the thoughts you have formed and ideas you have brought into this world, and how they have impacted you.  Your connection to negative thoughts will not be of any benefit to you, as Allah is the ultimate judge who will expose the reality.

On the other hand, it is permissible to cultivate positive encircling thoughts and intentions towards seeking Allah's approval and success in aakhirah / ending.  In fact, having positive thoughts can have a profound impact on our mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.  They motivate us to engage in acts of good deeds, strive for personal growth and development, and maintain a positive outlook on life.

O you who aamanu / take security (in Al Kitab), do not tatawallau / make domination (with) a qaum / group of thoughts with whom Allah is angry; for they have given up regarding the aakhirah / ending, just like the kuffaru / rejecters from ashhabil qubur / companions of those whose true selves are buried (concealed).

By the (divine and all comprehensive) name Allah, the Rahmaan, the Raheem.   (The Rahmaan is the abundance of mercy for the abstract education system of the truth and the Raheem is the mercy for the approval of the education to those who seek it through Ar Rahman).

60.1    O you who aamanu / take security (in Al Kitab), do not take 'aduwwi / established transgressed encircling thoughts and aduwwakum / your transgressed encircling thoughts as allies (having command and authority over you). You extend to them with love, and certainly they have rejected with what came to you from the truth. They drive you and the rusula / inner voices (that deliver the message) out, essentially you tu'minu / take security in Allah, your Rabb / Lord. If you are mobilising to strive in My cause, seeking My blessings, then how can you secretly love them? I am fully aware of everything you conceal and what you declare. And whoever of you does this, then he has gone astray from the right path.

60.2    If they (the encircling thoughts) encounter you, they treat you as 'adaa'an / enemies, and they extend their hands (to assist) and tongues (to agree) with evil and they desire that you would reject.

60.3    Never tanfa'akum / will benefit you arhamukum / thoughts you conceived and awladukum / thoughts you gave birth to; on the yawmal qiyamah / moment of accountability (the dissolution of izhamah / established illusory thoughts), He will explain between you.  And Allah is Seer of what you do.

60.4    Indeed, there is uswatun hasanah / a good resolution to your ethical dilemmas (conflicting moral principles and values) set for you in Ibrahim / one who is inclined to Allah's system of education, and those with him, when they said to their qaum / group of established thoughts: “Certainly, (we are) buraa'un / absolved (free from obligation to look at) from you and what you serve from besides Allah. We have rejected with you, and it appears that there shall be animosity and hatred between us and you until you take security in Allah alone.” Except for the saying of Ibrahim / one who is inclined to Allah's system of education, to abihi / his fatherly support (independent logical mind): “I will ask forgiveness for you, but I do not possess any power to protect you from Allah.” “Our Rabb / Lord, we have put our trust in You, and we turn to You, and to You is the final destiny.”

60.5    “Our Rabb / Lord, do not let us become fitnatan / a trial for those who rejected, and forgive us. Our Lord, You are the Noble, the Wise ( in all the empirical and factual knowledge).”

60.6    Certainly, (there is) for you in them uswatun hasanah / a good resolution to your ethical dilemmas (conflicting moral principles and values) for whoever seek Allah and the yawmal aakhirah / moment of ending.  And whoever turns away, then certainly Allah is Self-sufficient, the Praiseworthy.

60.7    Perhaps Allah will grant that from them compassion between you and those you consider enemies; and Allah is Capable. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

60.8    Allah does not yanhaakumu / stop you about those who do not fight you in the (your) deen / indebted obligations to consciously obey (Allah's systems, law and judgment), nor drove you from your diyaarikum / mental homes, that you deal kindly and equitably with them.  Certainly, Allah loves the equitable.

60.9    Indeed, Allah does stop you regarding those who fought you in the (your) deen / indebted obligations to consciously obey (Allah's systems, law and judgment) and drove you out of diyaarikum / your mental homes, and zhohiru / declared your expulsion about make them tawallau / dominance (having control and authority over your nafs).  And whoever yatawallau / make domination with them, then they are the zolimun / wrong-doers.

60.10    O you who aamanu / take security (in Allah), when come to you the mukminaat /  those who take securiyu (by receiving revelation from Allah with intuitive mind) muhaajiraati / those who conceal or suppress (from state of negative encircling thoughts), then imtahinuhunna / you shall examine them. Allah is fully aware with their imaanihinna / faith (of taking security in Al Kitab).  Thus, if you (know) establish that they are mukminaati / those who take security (by receiving revelation from Allah with intuitive mind), then you shall not return them to the kuffari / rejecters. They are no longer permissible for one another. And give them what they have anfaqu / self-experience (the reform by putting into practice).  And there is no junaha / inclination to wrong-doing upon you tankihuhunna / to intermingle with them, when you have given them their rewards.   And do not tumsiku / hold on defending the kawafiri / rejecters, and ask back what anfaqtum / you have self experienced (the reform). And let them ask back what they anfaqu / has self-experienced (the reform).  Such is hukmu of Allah; He judges between you.  And Allah is Knowledgeable, Wise.

60.11    And if any from azwaajikum / pair (zakara / divine masculine attributes and unsa / divine feminine attributes faatakum / have escaped you, gone over to the kuffari / rejecters, fa'aqabtum / then your consequences come, then give those azwaajuhum / their pair (zakara and unsa) that have escaped misla / like what anfaqu / self-experienced (the reform).   And ittakullah / be mindful of Allah, it is He with Him you (become) mukminin / one who take security (in Al Kitab).

60.12    O nabbiyu / who pronounce and establish (news of the ghaib), when come those who take security in Al Kitab wants to make allegiance to you that they will not set up anything with Allah, and not becoming yasriq / unperceivable, and not yazinin / intermingling truth with falsehood, and not yaqtulna awlaadahunna / kill thoughts conceived and ideas given birth to (except with haq), and not bring bibuhtaani / an amazement (in a state of mind that you do not see the right course) they invent, between their hands (what they have the capability to do) and arjuluhinna / what they can independently do (analysis, reason and rationalization), and not disobey in ma'ruf / what is fact that is known and acknowledged, then you shall accept their allegiance, and ask Allah to forgive them. Allah is Forgiver, Merciful.

60.13    O you who aamanu / take security (in Al Kitab), do not tatawallau / make domination (with) a qaum / group of thoughts with whom Allah is angry; for they have given up regarding the aakhirah / ending, just like the kuffaru / rejecters from ashhabil qubur / companions of those whose true selves are buried (thoughts of the agitated mind concealed the true self).

54 - SURAH AL QAMAR

SUMMARY

Surah Al Qamar is about the deceptive knowledge that needed to be identified, isolated and discarded when you want to establish your understanding of the truth from the ayaati / signs you read.  Deceptive knowledge refers to knowledge that is misleading or false.  It can be presented in a way that seems authoritative and reliable, but it is actually misleading and manipulative.  It is important to be aware and to carefully evaluate the information that we rely on.

There are several attitudes or cognitive biases of our agitated mind that potentially trap us into considering the deceptive knowledge as true and valid :

a)    Confirmation bias : This is the tendency to seek out information that confirms to our existing beliefs and ignore information that contradicts them.  When we only seek out information that supports what we already believe, we will say the information that does not confirm to our beliefs as sihrun mustamirrun (a diversion of one who is nobody),

b)    Emotional reasoning :  This is the tendency to make judgments and decisions based on emotions, rather than on objective evidence and factual information.

c)    Authority bias : This is the tendency to trust information that come from perceived authorities without questioning or verifying the accuracy of the information.

d)    Overconfidence bias : This is the tendency to be overly confident in our own knowledge and abilities.

e)    Bandwagon effect : This is the tendency to believe something simply because many other people believe it.  We can be susceptible to defective knowledge that has gained widespread acceptance, even if it is not actually true.

If you turn to your Rabb for help when your cognitive biases hold you back,  Allah will open the gates of higher consciousness and reveal the truth through ayaati / signs.  Will there be any who take notice?  Allah always make it easy for us to understand the Quran / expression of truth that is embedded in the ayaati / signs, but there are those who deny them, just like the established thoughts of Aad, Thamud,  Lut and those acquainted with firaun.  Those who choose to separate themselves and rely fully on their own knowledge and abilities, Allah will destroy them.  Those who have subdued their arrogance and is mindful of Allah,  Allah will place them in jannatin / hidden garden of knowledge consuming the knowledge that flowed in to them..  Everything will be written in their zuburi / intelligence that is determined and shaped (in relation to the realisation of meaning with insights and conscious understanding).

 AL QAMAR
(The Deceptive Knowledge)

By the (divine and all comprehensive) name Allah, the Rahmaan, the Raheem.   (The Rahmaan is the abundance of mercy for the abstract education system of the truth and the Raheem is the mercy for the approval of the education to those who seek it through Ar Rahman).

54.7    With absoruhum / their insight khushh'an / focus (on their own thinking), they come out of the ajdathi / buried (what they are ignorant of) as if they jaradun / a slow destruction of their way of life (like locusts stripped the land of its herbage) of muntashirun / one who is charmed (self absorbed with his own thinking).

54.8    Muhti'ina / One who retreated in fear towards the caller (after experiencing the misjudgment),  will say to the kafirun / rejecters (of the ayaati / signs): “This is a moment of 'asar / state where you gradually loosing the guidance.”

54.9    Qaum / group of established thoughts of Nuh / one who is compassion to those who do not remember, who denied (the ayaati) before them, they denied Our servant and said: “majnun / souls hidden and disconnected from awareness”.

54.10    So he called on his Rabb / Lord: “I am maghlubun / beaten (in a state of being overpowered), fantasir / so grant me help.”

54.11    Fafatahna / So We opened (decoded) abwaaba / gates (of perception) of the samaa'i / higher consciousness with knowledge (of the truth) pouring down.

54.12    And We caused springs of knowledge to burst out of the ardh / lower conscousness. Thus the flow of knowledge met to a command which had been qudira / measured.

54.13    We hamal / conceived it (knowledge from higher consciousness) upon his core essence of the alwah / localised content of the consciousness and dusurin / (form) a foundation.

54.14    It flowed with a'yunina / Our observation; a reward to whoever kufira / has rejected.

54.15    And certainly We have left it as ayaatan / a sign.  Are there any muddakkirin / one who will be aware ?

54.16    So how was My azabi / punishment and nuzuri / warnings!

54.17    And certainly, yassarna / We have made it easy (to understand the truth with success of) the Qur’an / expression of the truth (from higher consciousness) lizzikri / for awareness.   Are there any muddakkirin / one who want to be aware?

54.18    ‘Aad / a repetitive thought kazzabat / denied. So how was My punishment and warnings!

54.19    Indeed, We sent upon them (those who denied) rihan sorsoran / a violent spirit, in moment of nahsin mustamirrin / misery that pass by (not important).

54.20    Tanzi'u / It uprooted an-nas / the agitated mind as if they were a'jaza / powerless nakhlin / the best that are organised munqa'irin / who felt it deeply.

54.21    So how was My punishment and warnings!

54.22    And certainly, We made it easy (to understand the truth with success of) the Qur’an / expression of the truth (from higher consciousness) for awareness.   Are there (any) from muddakirin / one who want to be aware?

54.26    They will find out ghadan / an early digestion (of knowledge) who the 'ashiru / intimate acquiantance is.

54.27    Indeed, We are sending the naqati / a sound thought (signify free from defects and imperfections) as a trial for them.  So observe them closely and be patient.

54.32    And certainly, We have made it easy (to understand the truth with success of) the Qur’an / expression of truth (from higher consciousness) for awareness.  Are there any from muddakirin / one who want to be aware ?

54.33    Qaumul Lut / group of established thoughts of those who used to adhere (to the judgment of Allah) kazzabat / lied (in his instigating and inciting) with the warners

54.34    Certainly, We sent upon them hasiban / a violent confusion.  Except for the 'ala Lut / those acquianted in the adherance (to judgment of Allah), We saved them with saharin / a diversion.

54.39    “Taste My punishment and My warnings.”

54.40    And certainly, We have made it easy (to understand the truth with success of) the Qur’an / expression of truth (from higher consciousness) for awareness.  Are there any from muddakirin / one who want to be aware ?

54.41    Indeed, warnings had come to aala firaun / those who are acquianted to superiority complex.

54.42    They lied (said that is untrue) with all Our ayaati / signs. So We took them, the taking of the Mighty, muqtadirin / One who measure all things.
